Experience Fit Soul Fit Body
Experience the extraordinary worlds of fitness, health, and spirituality in an intimate setting with Mark Allen, Brant Secunda, and other seekers of the Fit Soul Fit Body lifestyle. Conducted in beautiful locations around the world, these workshops will transform your thinking and approach to life in a matter of days.
Whether you’re looking to successfully alleviate stress, establish a more positive outlook, tap a deeper, more spiritual side of yourself and the world, lose weight and shape up, or simply find that mythical balance in life, our seminars teach valuable skills in highly engaging and life-transformative settings.
Schedule of Events
Our weekend retreats begin on Friday evening with check in, an introductory talk by Mark Allen and Brant Secunda, and often an Huichol Indian Deer Dance ceremony or slideshow of the Huichol Indians in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico.
Mark presents the latest research on health, physical fitness, and nutrition. He explains the essentials of an effective strength program, and how to eat for lifelong health. You will hear Mark’s personal story of how he integrates fitness and spirituality, and be invited to train, run, or walk alongside him.
Brant Secunda presents the ancient traditions of Huichol Shamanism and the spiritual world of nature. Huichol myths and legends encourage healing and empowerment through direct experience and a balanced relationship with the natural world. Brant teaches shamanic practices of health and healing, dream exercises, and how to approach sacred places of power.
Through the teachings of the body and soul, you will gain greater personal awareness and, in turn, find true and complete wellness.
Shamanic Exercises
Retreat sessions offer a nice blend of lecture and experiential shamanic exercises. Many of the exercises are done outdoors, giving you a chance to become familiar with the natural surroundings next to the retreat center.
During the breaks you can explore the area. Each day culminates with a Dance of the Deer Ceremony, an ancient Huichol ceremony that re-enacts creation. Everyone may participate in the ceremony, dancing this ages-old dance and rattling with traditional Huichol rattles.
You’ll go home at the end of the weekend knowing how to:
- Manage the 6 worst kinds of stress
- Overcome the top 3 emotional barriers
- Beat boredom and find motivation in repetition
- Choose the right eating and exercise plan for you
- Employ the power of nature to find balance
- Quiet your mind in just minutes
- Set realistic goals and secure a fit vision for life
About the Locations
Retreat locations are chosen for their inherent natural power. Don José Matsuwa trained Brant to have the special ability to lead people to sacred places of power, and to transfer the blessings of these places to the hearts of the people. At some Brant will take the group on a pilgrimage to a destination in the nearby area that holds this power.
The workshop has plenty of time for questions, and to get to know the people who sit with you in our sacred circle around the fire. Community is very important to the Huichols, this circle quickly becomes our community for the weekend.
